Grass Pod, Razar State Park, 2009
I really like this one. I was able to get a good, distant background and multiplication darkened it easily.

Gorgeous photo! The aspiring botany-geek in me wants to point out that it’s not grass pods here, but the tiny flowers of a Fringe Cup or similar flower: something along the lines of a Tellima (http://www.laspilitas.com/nature-of-california/plants/tellima-grandiflora) though it might not be that exact one.
We’re featuring grass flowers on the poster for this year’s wildflower festival, and I am wishing they were as big and colorful as the critter here!
